Veneers: Porcelain Veneers, Thin, Strong, Durable

Porcelain veneers are very thin, strong and durable.  Veneers are a very popular method to create a smile makeover. This is an appropriate material to use for adult teeth that exhibit staining, wear, or are just misshapen. The porcelain veneer is made of a very color stable and durable material. Long term, porcelain veneers will have much better color stability and last longer than the less expensive composite bonding procedure.

You will not find Dr. Austin's name and face in any magazine recognizing the top cosmetic dentists in the area. That is just not his style.  The truth is, Dr. Austin has been doing single and multiple tooth makeovers for over 30 years.  Dr. Austin's artistic skills can be appreciated when you notice that each case he does has it's own unique look based on the patient's smile.  You will not find a "cookie cutter" smile with Dr. Austin.  See multiple examples of his work.  There are cases where prior to placing veneers, or in some instances instead of placing veneers, Dr. Austin will suggest whitening the teeth.  Another option that can augment the veneering process would be to move the existing teeth into a more perfect position by using Invisalign braces.  If the teeth are in perfect position, less or no tooth structure can be removed prior to the veneering process.  It makes sense that the less tooth structure removed, the stronger the tooth will ultimately be.  Before agreeing to complete any veneer case, Dr. Austin will always take the time to find out what your objectives are for your smile.  He will than suggest all the various treatment options available to you and review the costs of each of your available options. In many cases, at Dr. Austin's office less is definitely more!
