About The Doctor

Dr. Austin grew up in the Seattle, Washington area. Upon graduation from high school he headed east and ended up in Pullman for four years at Washington State University. Yes, Dr. Austin is a Cougar, but he remains tolerant of his many Husky friends. He attended the University of Washington Dental School graduating in 1980.

Dr. James Austin has practiced in Bellevue for over 30 years and is an
Invisalign Premier Provider and also has Advanced Cerec Certification. Dr. Austin is a member of the Seattle King County Dental Society and the American Dental Society. He is also a top rated member of the Better Business Bureau. His dedication to customer service and patient satisfaction is easy to see as you meet each of his dental staff members.
Dr. Austin likes staying on the cutting edge of current dental technology to make your visits more enjoyable. He uses digital photography so you can see what he sees, and digital x-rays to eliminate 70 percent of the radiation involved in any radiographs your treatment might require. Your dental chart is computerized, and your insurance is submitted electronically over the web. In an effort to make your dental care quick and affordable, we often check your dental insurance benefits on line while you're still in our office to eliminate you having to wait for answers.  even email you, if you wish, to remind you of your appointments.  Dr. Austin is strongly committed to the latest generation of CEREC CAD/CAM technology, called the "Blue Cam". This process allows us to provide our patients with one appointment crowns and restorations eliminating the need for additional trips to the dentist.  Dr.  Austin believes in a professional but low-key atmosphere where your questions are always welcome. Come in for a visit, that sound you hear is laughter.

Dr. Hilarie Galloway D.M.D. is the newest member of our team as an associate with Dr. Austin.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry at Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine in May of 2006.  She than went on to attend the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, graduating in May of 2010.  She completed a general practice residency program in July of 2011 at the Danbury Hospital, an affiliate of Yale University School of Medicine.  Truth be told, Dr. Galloway is an east coast girl at heart. Her husband, a fellow Seattlelite, had to talk her into coming out West.  Lucky for us he did! Dr. Galloway is very personable and outgoing. She brings to our practice a fresh perspective on dentistry that Dr. Austin is looking forward to drawing from.
